Greetings!

                The devoted and noble ladies of Nassau Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. are honored to welcome you and thank you for visiting our official virtual home. 

Founded by 22 courageous collegiate women on January 13, 1913 on the campus of Howard University, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. continues to be a beacon of excellence in sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Nassau Alumnae Chapter (NAC) is proud to be one of the 1, 000 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, and the Republic of Korea that our illustrious sorority is comprised of.

Since the chartering of our chapter in the historic dynamic Eastern Region by 16 visionary women in 1963, our membership has worked relentlessly towards transforming lives of adults and children in the Nassau County community through education, partnership collaborations, and community engagement and activism.  All programs and events hosted by NAC are anchored by the sorority’s National Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

  • Economic Development

  • Education Development

  • International Awareness and Involvement

  • Physical and Mental Health

  • Political Awareness and Involvement

Our Chapter’s membership currently consist of over 170 college educated women of various ages, diverse backgrounds, and distinguished professions who take great pride in leveraging our collective strengths to uphold the legacy of excellence while serving the community at large. Through our servant-leadership efforts coupled with support from visitors such as you, NAC has raised and distributed over $400,000 in scholarships to deserving youth over the years.
